Abstract

The quantity of water that has been unable to meet the increasing demand and water quality for domestic purposes is declining from year to year cause disturbance, damage, and danger to living creatures that utilize water resources. The method used is a literature review conducted by electronic journal search on ProQuest and Google Scholar. Articles reviewed are articles that contain abstracts and full text.

There is a shift in the value of clean water, due to the need for high water supply but the quantity of clean water itself is reduced, especially in areas with high population density. Water is used to meet the basic needs of many people such as household (drinking water, washing, cooking, bathing, etc.), industry, irrigation, mining, urban and others. To overcome the decline in groundwater quality government has set in Government Regulation No. 43 Year 2008 Chapter III Article 45 concerning ground water . There is a shift in the value of water, especially in densely populated areas, Water is used for household, industry, irrigation, etc. The reduction of ground water quality is regulated in RI Government Regulation no. 43 Year 2008 Chapter III Article 45.
