Abstract


This research titled “The Test of perforated drainage pipe capabilities for irrigation subsurface system of tidal lowland”. This research held from march 2014 till end. This research use subsurface Irrigation bucket by observing various hole spacing in every paralon pipe 5 cm, 3 cm and 2 cm from subsurface irrigation and drainage system in micro scale. The result of subsurface irrigation system observations show that soil water content for 2 cm hole spacing pipe for first day (6,40 %), second day (9,89 %) and third day (16,27 %). For 3cm hole spacing pipe, first day (7,53 %), second day (8,69 %), and third day (14,94 %). For 5cm hole spacing pipe, first day (5,26 %), second day (6,38 %), and third day (12,3 %). Subsurface irrigation can increase soil water content in dry eason which really needed for plant growth.
