Efectiveness of “Kota Tanpa Kumuh (Kotaku)” Program in Palembang City (Case at Pipareja Village, Kemuning Sub District)

Abstract


The Kotaku Program is a National Program implemented by the Directorate
General of Cipta Karya, which becomes a "collaboration platform" or the basis for
handling slums that integrates various resources and funding sources from the
government, donors, private sector, communities and other stakeholders. The
research aims to: (1) determine the level of community participation in the Kotaku
Program, (2) measure the effectiveness of the Kotaku Program in Palembang City
and (3) analyze the relationship between the level of community participation and
the effectiveness of the Kotaku Program. The study was conducted by survey
method (Explanatory Survey) with the intention of analyzing the relationship /
influence between research variables and testing hypotheses. The population in
this study were people in Pipa Reja Village, Kemuning Subdistrict, Palembang
City. Samples were taken randomly, 30 people. The results of the study show that:
(1) The level of community participation in the Kotaku Program includes the
moderate category score of 29.2 (64.89% achievement). (2) The effectiveness of
Proram Kotaku includes the medium category with a score of 19.73 (64.44%
achievement), and (3) there is a significant relationship between the level of
participation and the effectiveness of the Kotaku Program in Pipa Reja Vilage,
with the Spearman correlation coefficient (Rs) = 0.476 with α = 0.01 .
