Efektivitas Sekolah Lapang Perbenihan Kedelai di Desa Mandiri Benih Kabupaten Bima

Seed is one of the crop production components that determine productivity. Therefore, preparing quality seeds is very important. In several aspects, seed technology is different from production for consumption therefore it is necessary to have seed field school for farmers. This study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of soybean seed field school as a medium for technology dissemination. Soybean seed field school was held at Oi Kopa 2 farmer’s group in Nggembe village, district of Bolo, Bima Regency. The number of farmers involved in the field school was 30 farmers and all of them were treated as research samples. The research instrument used was Likert scale questionnaire. Data were collected using some methods such as survey, interviews and observations. The types of data collected were primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the data were tabulated and scored to obtain the effectiveness of seed field school with the parameters of farmers' knowledge and perceptions on seed technologies, farmers' attitudes towards innovation in soybean seed technology, work motivation in adopting soybean innovation, and adoption level of soybean seed technology. The results of the study showed that the effectiveness of soybean seed field school was 70.27%. The parameter of soybean seed cultivation innovation gave the highest score of 77.64% and the lowest was attitude of farmers toward soybean seed technology at 63.50%.
