Abstract

Dynamics of the water level in the swamp area in both tertiary and in the channel is
strongly influenced by several conditions, among others: the amount of rainfall, land
hidrotopografi, potential flood tide, the potential for drainage, water management
network conditions, and operation of the waterworks building. For that all
components must be evaluated and analyzed to support the water needs of plants. In
the channel itself needed observational data directly in the field in order to be
accurate observational data. But this way takes time, effort and considerable expense.
Therefore the use of computer models to predict and evaluate the performance of the
network is an appropriate solution.
This study examines the existing condition and SDU SPD channels on the secondary
block P8 - 13S swamps Telang I by analyzing sediment cohesiveness in the channel ,
analysis of survey results measure longitudinal profile and channel cross-section and
observation of water level in the channel for 2 times 24 hours.
The results showed that the basic ingredients of the channel has a mean diameter of
0.80 mm D50 > 0.60 mm in both the SPD and the SDU channel , mean sediment
contained in the SPD and the SDU channels including non - cohesive sediments .
SPD channel degradation and erosion at the point P64 ; P66 and P68 , while the SPD
channel at point P10 and P12 . Changes in water level occurred on average at 16 to
the 21st time in both the SPD and the SDU is equal to 210 cm.
